Christmas
To anyone listening,
Well besides some issues, Christmas was very nice. I haven't spent time with my sister and her husband in years and it was nice to see each other again. We had dinner, they made ornaments, exchanged small gifts, Keith was nice enough to look at our car, and then I got to talk to Lisa while Keith and Dustin looked at a video game.
My sister made the mashed potatoes and desserts which was really nice and helped me a ton.
Christmas Eve was just gorgeous. We went to see the Joffrey Ballet's Nutcracker and I didn't know the story so thankfully Dustin knew and warned me about the people in the rat costumes. They were freaky!! I was soooo happy we got to go and it was a bucket list thing for me. It was just beautiful.
Dustin got sick unfortunately and has to work the rest of the week. He works the next few days at one job and then the ones after that at his other job. Poor guy. I hate when he is sick because it rarely happens so you know it's not good when he is. He said he felt better today than yesterday so that's good.
My big issue of the day? My cat lost her collar and I have searched high and low for it and can't find it. That is always the case when you are looking for something though, right? Exciting day isn't it? lol
I have to start a diet. I was looking in a mirror yesterday and I do this weird belly test on myself and yeahhhhh it's bad. This is like my high weight. I hit the highest this summer but this is very close and all the food from yesterday did not help!
As 2017 is coming to a close, I pray for a better and healthier 2018. We just started doing adoption stuff and I figure that if we don't get the money, we can use our HELOC until we get some money back. I know when you adopt, you also get some money back in taxes. Maybe we should make a GoFundMe. I need help with fundraisers plus it's like how do you ask people to help you financially with something like that. It is very common to have those for the adoption costs but I feel weird sometimes about it.
